Universal Sports and Academics, Inc. is proud to announce the establishment of the SMAC Football Coaches Association, supported by all SMAC High School Football Coaches. 

The objectives of the association are:

• To cooperate in every possible way with the National Associations and the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA) in the promotion of a broad and wholesome athletic program.
• To assist in promoting pure and wholesome amateur interscholastic athletics as a necessary and integral part of the educational experience provided in the schools of Southern Maryland Athletic Conference (SMAC).
• To promote harmonious administration of athletics in conference schools and foster those relationships.
• To help develop and maintain the highest possible standards in the game of football and the coaching profession, and to work together for the improvement of conditions in SMAC football.
• To develop a better awareness and understanding of football coaching problems then provide authoritative source information at the disposal of coaches.
• To promote good fellowship and social interactions among coaches.
• To bring the latest of methods, procedures, techniques, and philosophies of teaching football to members.
• To promote and assist all student athletes through the recruiting process.

A key focus will be driving membership to help fund some exciting initiatives to aid coaching development and increase the visibility of SMAC football players at a State and National level.  The success of the SMAC Football Coaches Association will be measured in the active participation of its members and their desire to seek opportunities to share information and improve personal development.  Future plans include:  co-hosting the annual PG vs. SMAC All-Star Game, annual High School and Middle School football combines, youth coaches clinics and camps, and parent recruiting seminars.

SMAC Football Coaches Association is a Division of Universal Sports and Academics, Inc..  A 501(c)3 not for profit organization with a Mission is to provide a structured social bridge between recreation and competitive sports with academia, Government and commercial industry; and the artistic coupling of mind and body for the betterment of our community and the furthering of personal and professional growth.
